Chris is very much at home in the entrepreneurial role, having guided several other successful business ventures leading up to his founding Scullyworks. And this will likely not be his last, as he and his wife hope to open a no-kill dog shelter some day.

Originally from Miami, Florida, Chris began developing his strong work ethic at the age of five while working on his father’s orchid nursery. He and his family lived on a golf course which provided the foundation for his first startup at the age of eight, selling golf balls. Chris made a smooth transition from the links to the soccer pitch and at the age of 15 became the youngest member of the Umbro® US National Team. He went on to play Division I at Wake Forest University where he received his BA in 1989.

With a 20-year history in the athletic and fitness industry, Chris’ facilities catered to a prominent list of clientele, including TV celebrities, NFL, NBA, and MLB players. This experience, coupled with developing and retaining an amazing staff, certainly has brought out the ‘Coach’ in him – extremely trusting, energizing, consistent, and dedicated.

If you could persuade Chris into hanging his hat on one peg that has attributed to his many successes, it would most likely be his uncanny ability to connect with all walks of life. Granted, he might not describe it like that, but he is an avid believer in ‘walking in the moccasins of others.’ He finds his own strength in his favorite verse, Mark 5:36: “Do not be afraid any longer, only believe.” His loyalty and empathetic approach distance him from most in the modern business arena. A big believer in transparency, whether it is in life, business or somewhere in between, Chris Scully is authentic. Just ask any of his associates or clients.
